Wau Catholic Diocesan School administrations dismissed three teachers over corruption allegations.
Diocesan School Advisor Mathew Francis told Voice of Hope that St Raphael Primary School teacher in Lokoloko William Santino was dismissed for allegedly stealing diocesan schools registration receipts, registered more than 100 pupils and pocketed their money.
He said the diocese administration also terminated contract of St Paul’s head teacher Anyovi Simon on related cheat during his administration at Holy Trinity Primary School in Jebel Kher.
Prof Francis explained that Holy Trinity deputy headmistress Zekia Abdallah was also demoted on corruption account.
He said the three teachers confessed and that the administration will investigate their cases to weed out corrupt teachers in diocesan schools.
Prof Francis called on the diocesan administration to appoint honest individuals who can serve God’s people based on Church principles.
He said those pupils who were illegally registered will continue with their studies.
Wau Catholic Diocese centralized its registration and all schools have no right to collect school fees from pupils unless with permission.
Alleged corrupt teachers could not be reached for comments.
