Kenya Commercial Bank or KCB management on Wednesday said South Sudanese employees agreed to resume work after a sit down strike that started on Monday.
KCB Legal Manager Ajo Noel revealed that they principally agreed on implementation modalities to resolve contentious issues including pay.
He said the management is in the process of finalising the resolution.
KCB South Sudanese Staff Association chairperson John Aream Riek confirmed resolving financial and non-financial benefits including capacity building, allowances and registration.
He said the management agreed to increase salaries and provide lunch, transport and hardship allowances.
Mr Riek said there will be market survey to verify claims on economic hardship within 45 days.
The local staff leader warned that they will go back to strike should KCB fail to honour the agreement.
