Unpaid bills of Yei Electricity Corporation or YECO to tune of 2.2 million South Sudanese Pounds affected electricity supply in Yei River County.

YECO General Manager Malish Lawrence Taban told Easter Radio that many of their customers did not adhere to the advice of paying their bills to sustain electricity.

He said YECO survives on regular payment of money from all customers.

Mr Malish said the board of directors ordered YECO on Tuesday to disconnect power supply of all customers who failed to pay their bills.

He said after disconnecting electricity, the board will sue defaulters to court for failing to pay their bills.

The manager called for customers to pay their bills regularly to avoid total black out.
