Yei to host Central Equatoria second independence anniversary celebration

Yei River County will host Central Equatoria state’s second independence anniversary celebrations at Yei Freedom Square.
 
Commissioner Juma David Augustine said the County was privileged to be chosen to host the whole government of the state, Easter Radio reported.
 
He said the celebrations will start with the national prayer day on Monday.
 
Mr Juma called on people to come for the national day of prayer on Monday, July 8, to mark a very historic event.
 
He said July 8 is the day when South Sudanese should commit themselves to God for the wrong things they did to one another.
 
Mr Juma urged the people of Yei to prepare for the second independence anniversary celebrations.
 
Yei County Commissioner said he expected the celebrations to be coloured with traditional dances from artists, school children, churches and institutions.
 
He urged traditional dancers to prepare well for the feast.
 
Mr Juma called on the people to turn up in big numbers.
