Some individuals in Yei River County are resisting a local order from the county authority banning roaming cattle.
Commissioner Juma David Augustine said those who resist the order and think they are above the law will pay a high price for their misbehaviour, Easter Radio reported.
Mr Juma said the local order was not meant to punished people but to let people act responsibly.
He added that it became difficult because some people were told to tie down their animals and they responded by picking up guns to threaten the authorities.
The commissioner called all the citizens to comply with any local order issued by the authorities.
