A Catholic charity urged the Larima community to maintain the Kaviva Rock Water Catchment project inaugurated recently.
Caritas Switzerland/Luxembourg Country Representative Bernd Serway called on the community to own the project and maintain it, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He was talking on Saturday during the handover of Rock Water Catchment project to the Larima community in Budi County of Eastern Equatoria.
Mr Serway urged the state government to continue supporting the community.
The Country Representative explained that the catchment consists of one weir, two storage tanks, two drawing points and one cattle trough.
He said the facility that cost 200 thousand US dollars will serve for domestic and livestock use.
Caritas Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Project Officer Loro Henry explained that the weir has a capacity of two point eight million litres of water and that the two reserve tanks hold 150 thousand litres of water.
