Torit Catholic Diocese Apostolic Administrator urged the national government to maintain the values of democracy by respecting the rule of law and holding regular elections.

Monsignor Thomas Oliha said the Church supports the government to ensure good performance and observe the pillars of democracy, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Monsignor Oliha called on the citizens to respect government institutions in order for South Sudan to achieve full democracy.

The Apostolic Administrator told the state and the national governments that the Church will never keep quite over cases of injustice.

Monsignor Oliha said the Church will always continue talking to all levels of government when there are injustices.

He emphasized that the Gospel is about justice for all.

Monsignor Oliha made the call on Sunday during the celebration of the feast of saints Peter and Paul in Torit.
