Over 19,000 people have fled Jonglei State into neighbouring countries due to violence and insecurity.
UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, said that currently there are 11,048 refugees from Jonglei State registered in Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya.The agency added that in Ethiopia there are 11,638 refugees from Jonglei, in Uganda 4,862 and in Kenya 2,548 since January 2013.
Between 7 and 24 May, some 6,000 refugees from Jonglei State were registered, around 4,000 in Ethiopia alone.
Another 11,000 people came from Jonglei to Juba to flee violence and insecurity.
