The Government of Central Equatoria state launched Monday morning a revenue mobilization campaign in Juba to collect taxes.
Central Equatoria Revenue Authority Commissioner Michael Amule explained the revenue collected will boost development and public service delivery in the state, Bakhita Radio reported.Mr Amule said Central Equatoria residents should understand that the process consolidates development and good governance in the state and stops depending on transfers from the national government.
The sensitization process lasts for 60 days.
The new initiative will tax businesses without valid or illegal licenses, commercial banks, forex bureaus and travel agencies.
