91 PERCENT PASS PRIMARY LEAVING EXAMS IN TONJ

Ninety-one percent of pupils who sat for the primary leaving exams in Tonj South County of Warrap State were successful and can now start secondary education.

Tonj South Deputy County Education Director Samuel Mayiik Mawien announced the results Wednesday evening.

He told Don Bosco Radio that the results will be displayed at the centres where pupils sat for the exams.

Mr Mawien announced that Don Bosco-Bongo Primary School was the best with a 100 percent pass.

He added that the secondary schools in Tonj will be informed of the results so that they can admit the students who passed.

Mr Mawien said 276 students sat for the exam and 24 failed.

He thanked teachers, parents and guardians for their support to the candidates who took the Primary Leaving exams.

Mr Mawien said the results show that education is progressing in Tonj South County.
