FIRE GUTS OVER 40 HUTS IN KAPOETA EAST COUNTY

Residents of Muraarengani village in Mogosi Payam of Kapoeta East County, Eastern Equatoria State, are in grim mood following the destruction of over 40 huts and granaries on Tuesday by fire.

Kapoeta East County Commissioner Titus Lokwachuma told Radio Emmanuel over the phone that the fire started at an old man’s tukul.

He said about 350 people lost all their food and personal belongings in the fire outbreak.

The commissioner called on the state government and relief organizations to rescue the fire victims with food and non-food items.
