Authorities of Warrap and Lakes States held a joint security meeting on Thursday in Tonj South County, Warrap State, to discuss ways to curb insecurity between the two neighbouring states.

The meeting was called after the arrest of five suspects on cattle raiding that were brought to Tonj for more investigations, Don Bosco Radio reported.

Tonj South Commissioner Mario Monydhiath Gor said over the phone that three suspects were found innocent and were released.

He added that the other two were detained in Tonj Central prison to be tried according to Warrap customary law.

Cueibet Commissioner Mayom Malek Dielic appealed for peace and stability in Warrap and Lakes calling for brotherly and sisterly love and peace to prosper.

Warrap Minister for Local Government called for fair and total collaboration in preaching peace to the civil populations in the three states of Lakes, Warrap particularly and Unity, and South Sudan in general.
