The medical director in Rumbek State hospital said Friday many patients were admitted suffering from serious bloody diarrhoea, most of them in critical situation.
Chol Benjamin said the community needs awareness on how to prevent the disease since the majority has no knowledge on preventive measures, Good News Radio reported.He said the public should be aware that during the dry season there are always outbreaks of diseases.
Dr Benjamin advised people to keep their utensils clean and avoid drinking dirty water to counter the bloody diarrhoea outbreak.
