Five people with chickenpox were isolated in a hospital in Nuba Mountains in a bid to contain the infection.
Nurse Joseph Ngattimbi said chickenpox cases went down last year in Nuba Mountains but this year there is an increase of the disease.He said chickenpox spreads very fast and people should take preventive measures in order to control it.
Nurse Ngattimbi informed that the hospital registered five cases of chickenpox in February.
He said the patients were isolated to contain the outbreak.
Nurse Ngattimbi warned people not to share clothes or food with people infected by chickenpox.
Chicken pox is skin disease.
It can be spread through touch with infected persons.
