INTERIOR MINISTER RECEIVES NEW INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE

The national interior minster on Friday received the third Inspector General of Police appointed by the President of the Republic one week ago.

Police spokesperson James Monday Enocka told journalists that Minister Alison Manani Magaya welcomed General Pieng Deng Kuol and advised him to team up with other officers and with the ministry, Bakhita Radio reported.

Mr Monday said the new Inspector General of Police promised to give continuity to the work of his predecessor, General Tito Acuil.

General Achuil said he was very happy for having completed his three-year term of office as Inspector General of Police.

He added that there was prosperity and security in the country.

Mr Monday said General Acguil was thankful for the cooperation and support he received.

The reception at the Ministry of Interior followed the swearing in of the new Inspector General of Police by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
