The President of the Republic on Thursday issued a republican decree terminating the service of eight senior police officers and transferring them to a non-effective list pending the enactment of the Police Act 2013.
The terminated Major Generals include Makur Marol Aduot, Jameson Stephen Lupai, Riak Akon Riak, Dau Maluk Akec Deng, Biar Mading Biar, Elijah Madut Yuang, Malek Guot Malek and Saeed Chawul Lom.President Salva Kiir Mayardit issued another decree promoting the new Police Inspector Lieutenant General Pieng Deng Kuol to the rank of General.
He also promoted Major General Andrew Kuol Nyuon Gew to Lieutenant General and appointed him as deputy Police Inspector General.
The decrees were effective from January 31.
