12 DIED IN DALDOKO CLASHES

Fighting in a restive Daldoko has left 10 government and 2 SPLM-N soldiers dead in Thursday clashes.

Over six more SPLM-N soldiers got injured in the attack, four seriously injured and are receiving treatment and the three who got minor injuries have remained in the field.

SPLM-N wounded soldier, Samuel Yacub Hassan taking treatment at the local hospital explained that they launched an attack against the government forces at three PM and forced them out of the area.

He said they captured from the SAF two tanks, machines guns and destroyed a number of vehicles.

Mr. Yacub added that civilians of Daldoko have been evacuated to safer place.

SPLA-N Spokesman, Arnu Ngatulu Lodi has stated that six government soldiers and two SPLM-N soldiers died yesterday in Rashad County after clashes.

He said SPLM-N soldiers captured AK machines guns in Rashad fighting.

Rashad County Education Director said several schools have been closed due to insecurity in the area.
