The Sudanese Refugee Schools at Yida Camp in Unity State are demanding support from the Government and the Humanitarian Organizations working in South Sudan.

Yida Camp Assistant Education Coordinator, Hamad Mamur Albash confirmed lack of education materials to run the schools.

He said the NGOs working in the Camp have not given any educational support to the learners.

The Coordinator added that many teachers have decided to run away due to poverty and financial difficulties.

Mr Mamur explained that Yida Camp is holding a total of 7,000 pupils with four primary schools and seven adult education premises with 150 teachers.

He lamented that they wrote many requests to NGOs working in the Camp to support education, but that up to now there is no respond to their challenges.

Mr. Mamur said they postponed Primary examinations last year due to lack of support.

The Assistant Education Coordinator appealed to the NGOs and the Government of South Sudan to provide the urgently needed education materials in the Camp.
