The British Council in South Sudan in collaboration with the Ministry of General Education and Instruction have organised a four-day school leadership course to train head teachers on skills for moulding children in schools.

Ê

Project Delivery Manager, Foda Hilda Michael told Bakhita Radio that the purpose of the training was to begin a learning journey with the head teachers and expose them to world standard.

Ê

She said the course would enable the head teachers to own, sustain, and understand applicable strategies for continuous self evaluation.

Ms Hilda said they will also be focusing on high performance school vision and teaching skills.

She added that the training will also cover inclusive education to engage girls and boys in equal, relevant and empowering learning experience for all.

Ms Hilda said this will help teachers to play role in encouraging girls to finish their studies both in primary and secondary levels.

She said most of the 30 participants are from Greater Equatoria, three from Bor and three from Aweil.

Ms Hilda disclosed that next year the mission will move to Greater Bahr El Ghazal so that all teachers are reached with this training.
