Police authorities in Yei River County, Central Equatoria State on Saturday have launched heavy night operation in a bid to crack down prostitution in the County.
The police arrested more than 50 commercial sex workers earlier at different local lodges in the county.The Commissioner of Yei River County Juma David Augustine has strongly condemned the act.
He told the sex workers to leave lodges and go and rent houses in the residential areas.
Mr David vowed to continue the operation until prostitution comes to a standstill.
Some of the commercial sex workers who declined to be named said financial hardships have forced them to sex business.
