A group of primary school teachers concluded a four-day training on life skills on Saturday in Rumbek to help themselves and the community.

Trainer Jebril Chol Maker told Good News Radio that the teachers learned about physic-social support, communication, peace building, protection and health.

He said the teachers should be ready to respond positively in any emergency situation.

John Jur, one of the trainees, noted the importance of skills delivery.

He urged his colleagues to apply the skills they learned and share the information.

Mr Jur appealed to his colleagues to profit from the training opportunities they are offered for their own good and for the good of the community.

The Ministry of Education in Lakes state is planning similar training programs to all teachers across the state.
