More than 30 students from the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Studies at the University of Juba arrived in Yei River County to carry out research on agriculture and forestry management.

Professor Massimo Moilinga said in a statement to Radio Easter that the research aimed at equipping third and fourth year students with practical skills on new crops and the importance of the forest reserve.

He added that the field work will help the students to translate theoretical knowledge into practical skills through survey and innovation.

The one-month research is being conducted at the Kegulu Forest Reserve Centre, five miles from Yei.
