The South Sudan-Sudan presidential summit goes into its third day with security issues yet to be settled.
Salva Kiir Mayardit and Omar Hassan Al Bashir started a presidential summit in Addis Ababa on Sunday to iron out some difficult post independence issues. The two leaders have yet to break a key border security deal.
The two countries have already agreed upon a number of issues, including nationality and oil industry. However, security remains a stumbling block to a final agreement.
Sudan does not agree with the demilitarized border area proposed by the African Union mediation.
If Kiir and Bashir fail to strike a deal, the UN may put in place non military sanctions against South Sudan and Sudan.
