WOMEN NEED MORE EDUCATION ON BLEACHING EFFECTS

Women activists said more awareness campaigns are needed to educate women, young girls and men on the effects of skins bleaching.

Lorna Marakaje on wake up Juba morning show said bleaching is on high increased and need more attention.

Ms Marakaje added that if much attention is not paid for awareness, most of the users will lose their values.

She said all who used creams for bleaching do not admire themselves and hate their nature.

Ms Marakaje said women need to be educated on the sight effect that the creams are likely to cause on their bodies.

She added that to find solutions awareness campaigns on civic education, interaction and dialogue should be encourage to women.

Marakaje called on older women who are applying creams to be a role model to their young girls by telling them the importance of the natural skins instead of light brown skins.
