Health staff in Nuba Mountains are taking in-job training to get with better care skills and meet the needs of patients.
Midwifery tutor Maria Teresa Ronchi said the in-job training aims at providing the participants with practical nursing skills.She added that the staff also learn about caring attitudes and principles of care.
The training takes over six months with a two-hour daily lesson in two shifts.
Sister Teresa said the participants will have a monthly test to evaluate learning and teaching capacities.
The tutor urged the community to cooperate with the nursing staff by evaluating the care they provide and the expectations they have.
Seven facilitators give in-job training on medical, surgical, paediatric, fundamentals of nursing and pharmacology.
