Central Equatoria Minister for Fisheries and Animal Resources, Paul Lodu Bureng, represented Governor Clement Wani Konga at the Martyrs Day celebrations in Juba, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said the dead heroes and heroines left a legacy of freedom to the people of South Sudan.

Prof Bureng advised the national Government to hold to the rule of law, democracy and security as the foundations for stability in the new nation.

The minister urged the people of South Sudan to behave like the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the good of others.

Prof Bureng concluded saying that the people of South Sudan can offer no better good to their martyrs than giving services to their widows and orphans.
