The Commissioner of Yei River County on Monday visited Yei Civil Hospital to see the condition of the patients especially in children and the maternity wards.
Kennedy Samuel, the doctor in charge of the children’s ward, said that majority of the patients were suffering from anaemia.He added that there were 22 children admitted in the ward.
One died.
Commissioner Juma David Augustine expressed concern about the situation of the children in the hospital suffering from the various diseases since they are the future the country.
Government officials, church leaders, women, men and children accompanied the Commissioner on his visit to Yei Civil Hospital.
