Morobo County in Central Equatorial State has on Monday for the first time opened the army barrack.
The County Commissioner, Ofeni Ngota, said the plant of the barrack would facilitate continuous security stability in the County and the whole country.He said that the present of SPLA in Morrobo has minimized the Lord’s Resistance Army movement and has resulted to stable security in the county.
The Commissioner asked the army commander and the citizens to find an alternative on the movement of the civilians in the barrack.
The land lord, Michael Kenyi said he has accepted the land free for the barrack forever and that the place where the barrack is belonged to his father.
He demanded the need for compensating those who will lose their farms as the land will remains a barracks forever.
The area can accommodate a barrack including a playground, airstrip, military medical centre and schools.
