SPLA-N Spokesman Arnu Ngattulu Lodi said the fighting began last week, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
He said six SAF soldiers were killed and dozens were wounded and that two SPLA-N soldiers were also killed in the clashes.
Mr. Ngattulu added that SPLA-N seized two land cruiser vehicles fully equipped with military hardware.
The Spokesman said that SPLA-N is in progress to liberate areas under the National Congress Party’s control in the Blue Nile and other parts of Sudan.
