MALARIA INFECTION INCREASES IN TONJ SOUTH COUNTY

Malaria infection is gradually increasingÊ this month in Tonj South Count of Warrap State.

Tonj South Clinical officer, Sr. Shanty Anthony, said her clinic is registering high number of positive malaria, Radio Don Bosco reported.

She added that falcifrum malaria is the main type of malaria common in this month which infects many people.

Sr. Shanty said that people contribute to spread of malaria due to lack of personal hygiene.

She also pointed out dosage giving is one of the problems making malaria to continuously affect people in the area.

Sr. Shanty mentioned that they are lacking children’s malarial drugs which make it hard to treat children.

She said the clinic is lacking so many medicines and that they are struggling to get some help from the Government of South Sudan.
