Speaking to Bakhita Radio, golden jubilee Sister Therezina said 50 years of religious life were not easy but they were enjoyable.

She said sometimes it was difficult to accept sisters with different mentalities and she even thought to quit but she said God acts in strange ways and kept her in the congregation.

Sister Therezina added that the most important thing was to live a true religious life as God wants it to be.

Sister Mary Achuang, the other gold jubilee, said her family used to say she was a waist of cows by becoming a nun. Others expected from her plenty of money and goods for the family.

She advised young girls to be ready to accept God’s call and parents to encourage the children who are called to religious life.

Sr. Achuang said religious life is based in three C: courage, confidence and contentment.

Sr. Maria Zita celebrates her silver jubilee. She said religious life has the same difficulties and joys of married life.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro presides over the jubilee mass tomorrow at 11:30 in St Theresa’s Cathedral, Kator.
