A pardoned Murle rebel has run for the second time to his masters in Khartoum to restart a guerrilla war in Jonglei State.
SPLA spokesman Colonel Philip Aguer told Bakhita Radio that David Yau Yau defected again to Khartoum after having signed a peace deal with the Government.Mr Yau Yau escaped to Khartoum two weeks ago with the intention of rejoining Southern rebels based in the Sudanese capital.
Col Aguer said Mr Yau Yau was recruited by Khartoum to restart the war against communities in Jonglei State.
Col Aguer revealed that SPLA and South Sudanese security organs offered complete freedom of movement to Mr Yau Yau after he moved to Juba under a presidential pardon.
He explained that the SPLA will defend the territories and the people of South Sudan from any aggression.
Mr Yau Yau rebelled against South Sudan’s ruling party after elections in April 2010 in Pibor County of Jonglei State.
