SAFARI FLIES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SOUTH SUDAN

Safari Air Service Limited launched last week its first flights in South Sudan. The flight joins seven domestic airliners already operating in Juba.

Undersecretary in the ministry of Labour, Hellen Achiro, said during the launching of Safari that 99 percent of the company belongs to South Sudanese.

She added that the new airline will pave way for competition and employment opportunities.

Solomon Gezaw is the director of the Abyssinia Air Service, the Ethiopian partner of Safari. He said the new airliner will benefit economically the country and train new pilots, flight attendants and aircraft mechanics.

Safari will be flying to all capitals of the ten states of South Sudan.

It is also plans to connect Juba with Addis Ababa, Entebbe and Nairobi.
