Ms Poni added that she has informed the Presidency about Khartoum’s decision to suspend flights between the two countries from today.
She said she hoped that some arrangement would be put together with coordination between the foreign affairs and the interior ministries.
Ms Poni said the President Salva Kiir Mayardit has ordered immigration officials to go to Khartoum to issue nationality cards and passports to South Sudanese living in Sudan.
Khartoum said that when air connections between the two countries resume they will be treated as international flights and not domestic flights like before.
