A group of people from the different parishes of Yei Catholic Diocese is undergoing a six-day training on counselling for the benefit of young people and couples.
Mercy Benison, a sister from the Servants of the Holy Spirit, told Easter Radio that the training is a follow-up to the decisions from the diocesan assembly.She explained that the participants are learning how to develop their counselling skills and put them at the service of the people in the diocese in parishes and institutions.
Sr Mercy said the trainees will become trainers that will go to different areas of the diocese to share their counselling skills with other people.
Fifteen participants are attending the training in dynamic peer counselling at Lutaya Pastoral Centre in Yei.
