A door to door polio immunization campaign has started Tuesday in Central Equatoria in a bid to free South Sudan from the paralyzing virus that spread enough misery in the country.
George Aujenio Legge, the immunization polio manager in Central Equatoria, told Bakhita Radio that the campaign targets over 293,000 children under five years of age in the state.Mr Legge added that immunization teams will be posted at the international borders with Uganda and DR Congo vaccinating all children coming in and out of the country.
Mr Legge called upon parents to avail their children for the vaccination against the polio virus.
The four days exercise ends on Friday.
