Students of the University of Juba said they hope tribal clashes will end when people sit and dialogue and political parties and tribal organizations are banned in the campus.

Alex Sola, a student of the College of Natural Resources, Department of Forestry, told CRN that it was possible to end tribalism and its bad side when people were ready to sit and identify its root causes.

He asked the authorities not to take sides in the tribal clashes to fuel violence and endanger the future of the country.

Jacob Bul, from the College of Community Studies and Rural Development, said what is happening at the University of Juba is due to bad organization.

He said the universities should be organized in such a way that students should feel that they are one body and not groups from different tribes.

Mr Bul added that political parties and tribal associations have a bad effect in the campus and should be abolished because they divide people as SPLM and SPLM-DC and so forth.

He suggested that a university should have environmental associations that bring together all students instead of tribal groups that he said are embarrassing.
