The Catholic Diocese of Torit organized a one-day training workshop on child protection and child rights.
Diocese of Torit Child Program Manager Henry Odongi Raphael told Radio Emmanuel that the workshop aimed at empowering a child protection monitoring team to disseminate the Child Act 2008.
He said the project targets teachers, chiefs, youth, and police in five payams of Torit and Ikwoto counties of Eastern Equatoria.
Mr Odongi added that parents should know that all children, including girls, have right to go to school and have equal protection.
