Many primary school teachers from Nuba Mountains are running to Yida Refugee Camp in South Sudan’s Unity State since the road was reopened on Sunday living the education authorities in a critical situation.

Kumbur Payam Education Supervisor Kodeti Changalu said many teachers are flocking to Yida Refugee Camp in search of a job.

Mr Changalu said the teachers are leaving without warning and the education authorities do not have means to replace them.

The Education Supervisor added that most of the teachers leaving were from the upper classes.

Mr Changalu urged teachers not to leave Nuba Mountains and continue to help the pupils for the good of Nuba people.
