The national minister of roads and bridges is visiting the states of Greater Bahr el Ghazal.
Gier Chuang Aluong arrived in Wau yesterday from Aweil and is going around visiting various infrastructure projects in Western Bahr el Ghazal state, Radio Voice of Hope reported.Western Bahr el Ghazal Governor, Rizik Zakaria Hassan, briefed Mr Chuang on the general situation of internal and external roads and bridges in the state.
Mr Zakaria explained the plans of the state government to improve the infrastructure.
Mr. Chuang for his part said the objective of his visit was to assess the physical situation of roads and bridges.
The minister emphasized the importance of straight collaboration between the state and the national government to improve and tarmac the roads.
This morning, Mr Chuang visited the bridges of Fongo Nuer and Bussere in Wau County.
He also visited Tardu where there are big machines breaking rocks to be used in construction.
