Two of six students arrested during a demonstration last October in Wau have been released this morning after appearing in court five times.
The two students have been released because there was no evidence that they took part in the violent protest of October 3, 2011, Radio Voice of Hope reported.David John Pons, one of the released students, explained that he received a phone call from CID, the Central Investigation Department, on October 10 telling him to report to their office.
When he went to the CID office he was detained for some days. Then he was transferred to Wau Jail and finally to Wau Prison.
Mr John said he was arrest without a reason.
He said during the investigation he was asked to answer questions about politics although he is not a politician.
Mr John said life in prison was hard, he had to sleep on the floor but there was a good cooperation with the officers as the inmates were obedient.
Four more students are still under trial.
