Eastern Equatoria health minister urged development partner to tolerate some of the challenges in the rural areas on their course of duty.

Felix Makuja made this statement on Tuesday during the launch of three-day polio campaign at Freedom Square in Torit town, Radio Emmanuel reported.

The minister acknowledged some NGOs staff coming from abroad could face hardships to cope with the situation in rural areas of South Sudan but he told them never to give up on their duties.

Mr. Makuja told vaccinators to visit every single homestead to assure maximum coverage against polio by vaccinating all children under five.

He encouraged parents to cooperate with the vaccination teams and warned that whoever intimidates the vaccinators will face court action.

Eastern Equatoria State targets to vaccinate over 300,000 children in the ongoing third round of the national polio immunization campaign.
