SOUTH SUDAN JOINS INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATION

The Republic of South Sudan today has joined the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Roads and transport deputy minister Mayom Kouc Malek told the press today that South Sudan will be assisted technically to manage its own aviation industry, Bakhita Radio reported.

He added that the International Civil Aviation Organization will enhance security at airports and build capacity of aviation officials.

Mr. Mayom said by joining the international organization South Sudan will be able to manage its own air space industry and get some extra revenue to reduce dependence on oil income.
