The newly appointed Vicar General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba has asked his Archdiocesan workers to bring back the memories of people about the church.

Father Nicholas Kiri Bate said workers in the Archdiocese should work to recapture the position of the Church as the centre of the needs of the people of God.

Fr. Kiri explained that retaining the name of the Church would be a great achievement for the Church in Juba for the present and future generations.

He affirmed that the number of people participating in various activities in the Church has dropped drastically after the CPA.

Fr. Kiri called on workers of the Secretariat to find ways to attract people to the Church as a healthy place for their growth.

He said a positive change would happen if all departments in the Archdiocese worked together as one body.

Fr. Kiri was speaking this morning in Juba at his official reception as Vicar General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba.
