The staff at the Secretariat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba welcomed the newly appointed Vicar General for the Archdiocese.
Fr. Nicholas Kiri Bate wa appointed the new Vicar General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba last month.Addressing the gathering, Fr. Martin Ochaya Lino, the Secretary General of the Archdiocese, said Fr. Kiri has the necessary skills and capacities to handle the office of the Vicar General.
He explained that the reception of an incoming Vicar General is a tradition of the Secretariat.
Francis Obur, Coordinator of Sudan Aid in the Archdiocese, welcomed Fr. Kiri on behalf of the workers in the Secretariat.
He said he hoped that the coming of Fr. Kiri would boost the momentum of development and coordination of Sudan Aid in the Archdiocese of Juba in the areas of emergency support and health among others.
As part of his responsibility, the Vicar General assists the Archbishop in the administration of the Archdiocese, works closely with the pastoral institutions such as PALICA and the parish priests to enhance spiritual activities among others.
