Leaders should show good qualities in society and to the people they serve.
This was the call of Fr. Abraham Abud from the Catholic Diocese of Torit during his Sunday homily at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Torit.Fr. Abud commented a text from the book of Prophet Malachi, where the Lord God warns the priests “leaders” of straying from the way and causing many to stumble by their teachings.
He said leaders should give typical good example.
Fr. Abud says good leaders do not create hatred among the people but reconcile the society and, like good shepherds, they seek to bring back each lost sheep to the fold.
The Catholic cleric tasked leaders at every level with evaluating their qualities and see if they are like good shepherds.
He urged leaders to be light to the community.
