Children learn easier through the radio if they are monitored closely.

This is Evalino Elias’ view, the outreach coordinator for South Sudan Interactive Radio Instruction.

He told Radio Easter that the radio is an important tool to teach children and they learn faster than teachers how to use it.

He said children develop better listening skills and they and are more active than pupils who do not have classes via radio.

Mr. Evalino made the statement at the end of a one-week long training for 43 teachers on how to use the radio as a means of instruction.

Two participants, Celina Taji Agustino and Chandiru Agnes Garcia, said the training will help them to improve teaching skills and making learning simpler.

Mr. Evalino appealed to parents to send their children to school.

He added that chiefs and other authorities should encourage parents to educate their children.
