The Deputy Chairperson of the Higher Committee for Comboni Day Celebration in Malakal said the October 10 festival is an important event for Sudan, South Sudan and Africa as a whole.
James Pakwan Rial told Voice of Love that it was St. Daniel Comboni who brought light and hope to the peoples of Africa with the message of the Lord.He said the participation of the faithful in the festival means a spiritual renewal.
Mr. Pakwan asked youths to preach bravely the Word of God like Comboni did to their ancestors.
He said that the Comboni Day will a success because it is spiritual and always facilitated and directed by the Lord.
Mr. Pakwan said this year’s celebration will be bigger and special because the number of Christians in South Sudan was boosted by the faithful who used to live in the Sudan.
He added that he expected the attendance to be huger than ever.
