A group of MPs returned on Tuesday to Juba after completing a fact finding mission to the disputed border area between Kajo Keji, in South Sudan, and Moyo, in Uganda.
Kajo Keji County Commissioner Muki Balati Buli told SCR News today that the legislators returned to Juba after visiting parts of the disputed area along the South Sudan-Uganda border to talk with residents.He added that the MPs will report to the Presidency through the Speaker about their findings on the border crisis that has been affecting the area for the last three months.
The visiting committee was constituted by seven MPs from the National Assembly and one from Central Equatoria Assembly.
Moyo district authorities are claiming a vast fertile area that Kajo Keji authorities say it belongs to South Sudan.
