Homeless girls are having a bright new home from tomorrow thanks to the efforts of a local organization backed by many volunteers and partners.

Confident Children out of Conflict (CCC) is inaugurating tomorrow a new boarding centre with capacity to welcome up to 30 girls.

Erina Noorazman told SCR News that CCC is providing the street girls with a childhood and it wants to make the inauguration a memorable first day for the girls in their new home.

Ms. Noorazman said CCC is run by volunteers who share their time with the street children.

She added that CCC accepts any kind of help, including furniture and food, for the new centre.

Ms. Noorazman said the girls’ boarding centre is a brand new program that allows the street girls to receive vocational training in order to have a life and earn a livelihood.

Some girls are already working at shops and hotels as cleaners.

CCC works with some 350 street children, boys and girls, in Konyo-Konyo, Kator, Hai Cinema, St. Mary’s and Salakana areas of Juba.

The Girls’ Centre is in Hai Mission, near Juba Football Stadium.

The inauguration celebrations start at 10 AM at Juba Model School with a football tournament and then proceeds to the new home. It includes speeches, tree planting and a kids’ fashion show.
